I had purchased a new 160GB hard disk drive (IDE) fitted with external casing. I want to connect it with USB but it shoes that something is connecting with USB but not appearing in explorer or my computer. Previously I had connected not the same but the other hard disk to my PC and it was working. My comp brand is Compaq and fitted with Intel P4. I tried to detect it but in my BIOS there is no option like HDD/IDE detection. Also I had updated the driver, which come with hard disk. What should I do?
