Should i reply back? what should i say?

so i went to san francisco to meet up with my boyfriend. its a long distance relationship because i live in san diego. we had a fun 2 weeks together but then we got into a fight after i left. a couple nights ago, he told me that he regretted seeing me. he said that i'm too used to attention now so i'm just going to be bothering him. then yesterday, its like he forgot he said that and started asking me when i'm coming back and that he misses me. i tried to confront him about it over the phone last night. he started yelling at me again for bringing up problems. so i just hung up on him cause he wouldn't calm down. he texted me earlier saying "hey babe." i didn't answer. and now he's asking me why i'm ignoring him. should i answer him and tell him (and risk being yelled at for bringing up problems again)? or should i ignore the text again until he realizes what he's doing himself?
