How do I salvage the baby of a Ruby Ball Cactus that have fallen off accidentally?

This is such an odd question, I know, but I have a Ruby Ball Cactus that I love so dearly. Over time it began to grow baby off of the main red ball...but I was carrying it to be watered and dropped it. :( The babies fell off but they are still vibrant red. Is there any way that I can salvage them so they may survive? I looked online everywhere and read that the red ball can only survive atop a green pilar. Someone please help!!!!
