HOW DO YOU USE REDUCED RADICAL FORM IN GEOMETRY?

I have a project due when i get back from break and you have to show your work in reduced radical form... (On a separate piece of paper, use the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate the length of the hypotenuse. Show all work and write your answer in reduced radical form.)
