So if 85% of us trust our judgment more than reporters and the average reporter is more liberal than you are..?
no matter what the polls say, we need reporters to keep the elected people as honest as possible. freedom of the press was included in our constitution for very good reasons this being one of them. i agree with you in reference to reporters and how they editorialize the news as opposed to reporting the news and not giving thier opinions! thats gatting to be quite annoying to me as well! as far as walter cronkite; yes he was quite good at his craft being a true journalist but, he did display his view on a broadcast while reporting from vietnam during the war saying; and i'm paraphrasing he said we cannot win this war! but , yes he did have integrity and it was said back then by many americans that if cronkite said it then it must be true! even lyndon johnson responded that way after cronkite made that statement about the vietnam war. i really can't think of anyone today who displays what cronkite did as a reporter. thanks for the question you do ask challenging ones! take care
