Whats the meaning of this: Jahan tak abroo mein jaft-e-gum hain, wahin tak muskuraya ja raha hai?

This is from a Jagjit Singh gazal - Mujhe ghussa dikhaya Ja Raha hai, Don't know the lyricist though.
