Me and my wife are contemplating a divorce on good terms but we are scared of her status in the UK once done.?

I have no idea whether you are genuine or not. I only want to say that this looks like a case of marriage for immigration purposes. I'm not accusing you of that, only saying how it appears. What did your wife do between expiration of her student visa and marriage? Was she illegal in that time?
